MOSS 2007 Experience - 2007

• Upgraded Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server (SPS) 2003 to Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) 2007  for a Dallas Information Technology Business School.
• Installed 40 MOSS 2007 application templates, implemented and customized the Helpdesk, Bug Database and KnowledgeBase application templates.
• Administered MOSS 2007 by creating users and groups and assigning security roles and permissions.
• Trained junior staff about the new features available in MOSS 2007.  Assisted users in learning, navigating, modifying and contributing content to the new websites.

SPS 2003 Experience - 2006

• Tested Microsoft SharePoint Server 2007 and Microsoft SharePoint Designer in a Microsoft Virtual Server 2005 lab environment.
• Implemented SharePoint Portal Server 2003 for a Dallas Information Technology Business School’s IT department.
• Customized the SharePoint server into an IT HelpDesk / Service Desk web application to provide structure to ongoing IT projects and to allow for incident recording / categorization / prioritization and to foster enhanced communication and status reporting of daily IT problems.
• Installed custom ifilters to allow for indexing of additional document types including: .cab, .chm, .exe, .hlp, .rar, .zip, .tif.
• Created custom content “areas.” For example, all XZY department documents; or “all Microsoft Word documents.” These custom content areas allow for more efficient searching within a pool of indexed documents.
• Administered webparts and installed and customized additional SharePoint webparts to allow for enhanced functionality.

SPS 2003, SPS 2001 Experience 2003 - 2005

• Integrated Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server 2001 for a Financial Services Company in Waco, Texas.
• Upgraded from SPS 2001 to Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server 2003.
• Performed all Planning, Implementation and Administration of the sharepoint servers.
• Configured the sharepoint server to crawl and index several external content sources.
• Configured the sharepoint server to crawl and index Microsoft Exchange public folders.
• Upgraded and installed additional ifilters to enable sharepoint server to index new document types.
• Administered Microsoft Windows Server 2000 and 2003.
• Administered Microsoft SQL Server 2000.
• Worked with company department managers and created multiple Sharepoint websites.
• Provided primary support for Sharepoint servers.
• Administered websites and web pages with Microsoft FrontPage 2003.
• Created custom HTML web pages to run cgi scripts and to report on health and status of servers.

SPS 2001 Experience - 2002 - 2003

• Integrated SharePoint Portal Server 2001 for a small IT Consulting in Dallas, Texas. 
• Provided primary support, configured server to index content across multiple servers.
• segregated and grouped indexes and documents to allow for improved search and retrieval.
• Integrated SharePoint Portal Server 2001 for an environmental services company in Plano, Texas.
• Provided primary support, configured server to index content across multiple servers.
