Untangle / MetaVIZE

Worked as a Senior Systems Engineer for a Dallas, Texas Microsoft Partner/Value Added Reseller. I provided support for Untangle / Metavize firewall appliances.
I configured and supported a Metavize EdgeGuard GSP firewall for a small ISP in Dallas, Texas. Major challenges were reducing the amount of E-mail Spam using the Metavize's SPAM software add-on.
Additionally, the Metavize's advanced logging capability was utilized in locating the source of rogue virus and worm infected client workstations that were broadcasting e-mails.
I was also responsible for going through the Metavize logs daily and making corrections to the network in order to provide for the best possible network security.
